Understanding Fertility
Begins With The Right Questions
At Jeevan Fertility, Hyderabad, we provide comprehensive male and female fertility evaluation under the guidance of Dr. Snigdha Samskruthi. Our approach combines advanced diagnostics with compassionate, individualised care.
Why Fertility Evaluation Matters
A fertility evaluation is more than a set of tests. It is a structured assessment designed to understand reproductive health as a whole.
Evaluating both partners can help:
- Identify possible causes of infertility
- Guide appropriate and timely treatment
- Avoid unnecessary interventions
- Save time, cost, and emotional stress
- Make informed decisions about conception
When Should You Consider an Evaluation?
Couples are generally advised to seek a fertility assessment after 12 months of regular unprotected intercourse without conception, or after 6 months when the female partner is over 35.
Earlier evaluation may be appropriate if you have:- Irregular or absent menstrual cycles
- Previous miscarriages or failed IVF/IUI cycles
- Known conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, or thyroid disorders
- Concerns related to low sperm count, poor motility, or sexual health
- A family history of genetic or reproductive disorders
Male Fertility Evaluation
Male reproductive health is an important part of every fertility assessment. Evaluation typically begins with a detailed medical history and semen analysis.
Common Tests Include:
- Semen Analysis — Sperm count, motility, morphology, and quality
- Hormonal Evaluation — FSH, LH, testosterone, and prolactin
- Scrotal/Testicular Ultrasound — To identify structural abnormalities
- Sperm DNA Fragmentation Testing — In selected cases
- Genetic Investigations — When clinically indicated

Female Fertility Evaluation
Female fertility assessment considers ovulation, ovarian reserve, hormonal health, the uterus, and the fallopian tubes.
Common Tests Include:
- Hormonal Testing — AMH, FSH, LH, thyroid, and prolactin
- Ovulation Assessment — Blood tests and follicular monitoring
- Pelvic Ultrasound — To evaluate ovaries, uterus, and endometrium
- Hysterosalpingography (HSG) — To assess tubal patency
- Hysteroscopy — To evaluate the uterine cavity
- Laparoscopy — When further evaluation is clinically appropriate
